Professional Preventive Maintenance

Nearly every manufacturer of HVAC equipment recommends annual inspections or maintenance.  But even with semi-annual care You can still rest much more easily knowing You are on top of it.  When HVAC units are not cared for then can waste energy, lose warranty coverage, hurt other systems, leave you sweating or freezing, and worst of all; be harmful to those who live and work there.

We like the term “Reasonable Amount of Maintenance.”  This describes being aware, knowing your needs, and not going more than 2 years without some kind of professional safety and performance check.  We schedule these appointments out up to a year in advance if needed and it’s the easiest way to stay in charge of your climate control.  Some clients prefer the annual approach, especially if they leave home for extended periods or seasons.  Whatever You choose we are happy to help You avoid system failure and stay cozy all year.

Tips From a Pro

  • Know your system to stay informed and in control.
  • If your system is not working, shut it down to avoid overheating or destruction of other components due to improper operation.  This will also help keep your service visit efficient and with much faster resolution.
  • Know your filter size and keep a record of the most recent filter change or cleaning.
  • Keep all paperwork for future repair, warranty, or sale reference.
  • Keep the area around your equipment clear.  All HVAC systems have clearance requirements.  A good rule of thumb is 12” minimum around the outdoor systems and 2 feet around indoor systems for safety and servicing.
  • Be confident with your professional maintenance schedule.  Don’t ignore a crucial part of your home for years or it will not always be ready to work under extreme conditions.
